Always interesting to hear about meteorites and such. I've saw a huge shooting star once.

On the 12th November 2005 in the late afternoon, I observed a large meteorite pass overhead in southern England, it was tracking north to south and breaking
up. This is my impression of it.
I know, I know - it looks like the Starship Enterprise, but that's what I saw.

In 1979 the United States space station Skylab crashed to earth over Western Australia. The small town of Esperance (south of Perth) fined the American
government $400 for littering. They refused to pay the fine. A radio DJ in the states got up a collection and paid the fine for them.
